Good morning, competitors, rally fans and event officials/marshals! Today’s weather forecast for Obihiro area is sunny with highest 21 degrees and lowest 10 degrees, which is 5 degrees warmer and 4 degrees lower than yesterday respectedly – so it is going to be a typical autumn day, which is warm in the daytime but gets cold during the evening.

Now we have launched the photo gallery for the 2014 Rally Hokkaido, and plans to upload photos as the event goes on. Please stay tuned!

It’s party time! ~ Welcome party

After a busy day in doing recci and scrutineering, crews, teams and officials were invited to Welcome party conducted by welcoming and supporting committee for international rallies. While crews and teams will go into serious competition where there is no room for event for the smallest mistakes tomorrow, they are also good friends who are united under the same hobby – rallying. They enjoyed the meal the committee has provided to them while enjoying time with their friends.

Scrutineering is in progress

Scrutineering began in the morning of September 25th, at “Super Pit Chuo-ten” shop in downtown Obihiro. While the air in the scrutineering venue was cheerful, the scrutineering has been done in professional manner. The scrutineering is once again to be hold early part of today.

Welcome to Japan, welcome to the Rally Hokkaido, competitors! Now competitors for both APRC and JRC are arriving at the rally HQ for their registration. We all hope you have great rallying, everyone.

A guide to a very special room…

Rally HQ and Media Centre have been active with competitors and media people visiting for registration and accreditation. Senior officials from FIA are arriving, and the rally HQ is now fully in operation.
Today, I will show you a special room, where access is restricted to very limited officials… The Stewards’ Room. This is where all the important and critical decisions are made/approved.
